Merseyrail Sound Station Live, the culmination of the first semester of the all new artist development programme takes place at Liverpool Central on Friday 28th September. A free festival featuring live sets from all the artists who have taken part in the project will be a chance for Liverpool music fans to hear from 12 of the region’s most exciting emerging musicians.
Beginning at 3pm with Remy Jude opening the event, Merseyrail Sound Station Live is an innovative showcase, which for the September edition will be in partnership with BBC Music Day.
Having benefitted from a holistic programme of development activity – including an artist masterclass with Becky Hawley of Stealing Sheep, a studio workshop session, and interactive one-to-one seminars with industry professional – Sound Station artists now have the opportunity to perform live in a day-long live showcase.
As part of the BBC Music Day activity and in partnership with Sense Of Sound Singers, three of the artists will perform original tracks with a choir in the station for what will be a special climax to the festival.
