The opportunity to enter the 2017 Merseyrail Sound Station Prize closes on Saturday 21st October.

To be in with a chance of winning music industry mentoring, free train travel and studio recording time share an original track to the Sound Station Facebook wall.

There will also be a chance to record an entry at our Live Tracks day on the final day of the prize. To book a slot to record an unplugged track at Southport, Hoylake or Liverpool Central – send a DM to our Facebook page.

This year the Merseyrail Sound Station Festival – the event when 10 prize finalists perform at a battle of the bands style competition at a train – takes place at Liverpool Central on 11th November.

Last year’s winner Astles has gone on to record two fantastic EPs and launching the first at a sold out show at the Small Cinema in March and the second at District in November. The Southport teenager has also performed at gigs and festivals around the country and being admitted as LIMF Academy’s ‘One To Watch’ artist.
