Sefton Park will come alive with the music of the African diaspora on the Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June. Not wanting to miss out, Merseyrail Sound Station will also be hosting a stage at St Michaels Station to greet festival goers as they arrive for the big event.
From 1pm on Saturday we will have DJ sets as well as live performances from former Merseyrail Sound Station prize winner BLUE SAINT. Disc Jockeying royalty RADIO EXOTICA and the irrepressible BERNIE CONNOR will be spinning discs from the famous yellow marquee.
St Michaels is only 10 minutes away from the festival grounds so it is the perfect way to start your weekend. We also have a live session from XAMVOLO who will be playing on the main stage on this months Merseyrail Sound Station podcast as well as Bido Lito!’s Christopher Torpey giving his thoughts on the festival. Have a listen.
Africa Oyé takes place at Sefton Park on 18-19 June.
