Upload Day at Liverpool Calling

On Saturday 25th July we will be hosting the first of our Upload Days at Central Station, for people to come along and record their entries for the Merseyrail Sound Station Prize 2015. The Sound Station team will be there and helping with entries between midday and 2pm on the day.

What’s more, we are offering a very special bonus to one of the artists that come along and enter the MSS Prize on this day. We have one slot on the itsLiverpool Stage at Liverpool International Music Festival on Sunday 30th August to give to one of the artists who comes and uploads with us on 25th July! What a great incentive to make sure you’re there.

If you want to enter this year’s MSS Prize but you haven’t yet got round to it then this Upload Day is the perfect chance for you to change that. Not only will our team help film your entry video on the day, but we’ll also upload your video to the Merseyrail Sound Station Facebook page and confirm your entry. All you need to do to book your slot is to write on our Facebook page or send us a direct message saying that you want to come and upload, and we will book you in for a slot.

This Upload Day is being run in association with Liverpool Calling festival, which is taking place across a number of venues in Liverpool city-centre on the same day. Each year Liverpool Calling plays host to dozens of emerging local acts who take to the stage alongside some of the biggest names in pop and rock music, acting as a great springboard for their futures. This year, local artists BROKEN MEN, POCKET APOCALYPSE, SCARLET. and THE LEVONS will be amongst those representing the region’s up-and-coming musical talent across six stages and venues. They will be performing alongside heavyweight acts such as REVEREND AND THE MAKERS, DEXTERS and BEANS ON TOAST, all of whom are playing at the Bombed Out Church. ALLUSONDRUGS top the bill at Maguire’s Pizza Bar, while former Sound Station session guests THE TEA STREET BAND are headliners at The Magnet, highlighting to all of the emerging artists how an event like Liverpool Calling can be a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

And here’s the entry video from the winner of last year’s MSS Prize Blue Saint, who came along to one of our Upload Days at Central to record his entry.┬áSee you at Central!
